About The Event

THEME - IACESD-2023

In the current global context, many national and international organizations have adopted measures to integrate sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in all their fields of action. The complexity of sustainable development cannot be adequately addressed by research approaches restricted to single scientific discipline. Civil engineering is the branch of engineering in charge of the design, building, and maintenance of all infrastructures related to transport, water, and energy supply systems. It is a strategic sector when it comes to facing the challenges that have arisen so far.Engineers are now educated to design facilities for the entire life cycle while keeping the concept of sustainability in mind. IACESD-2023, the First International Conference, organised under the banner of G20 C20 by Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bangalore on 7th and 8th July 2023 supported by CIIRC,KSCST,ICI,IGBC,VTU,Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and ISTE.

The theme of this International Conference is of great relevance to the G20 Member countries and invited guest countries and to the delegates attending the events of the Civil Society platform C20 and Think Tanks T20 as well as to the Task Force of Disaster Risk Reduction set up by G20 (SDGs) during India's G20 Presidency in 2023.

The conference will focus on 9 tracks that will examine forthcoming advancements of sustainable interdisciplinary approaches in Civil Engineering. In the course of two days, the conference intends to become a platform for researchers to present, discuss and bring out the outcomes of the interdisciplinary research and developments in the broad domain of Civil Engineering with focus on nature’s sustainability and the development of infrastructure. IACESD-2023 will be a hybrid conference enabling participation of all delegates around the globe both in person or through online media making the conference accessible to all.

The aim of the two days conference is to thrust research outcomes from Research and Development agencies, Industry and Academia along the following nine tracks:

  1. Advances in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for sustainable mobility
  2. Recent Interdisciplinary approaches adopted in Earthquake Engineering and Soil Dynamics
  3. Sustainable Industrial and Domestic waste Management
  4. Applications of GIS & Remote sensing in Infrastructure Management
  5. Water and Sanitation:Interdisciplinary findings
  6. Internet of Things (IoT) applications in Construction Industry
  7. Nano and Bio-composites innovative applications in Civil Engineering
  8. Applications of Machine learning & Artificial Intelligence in Civil Engineering
  9. Advances in Interdisciplinary approaches in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering
